Well, I didn't post anything while we were in the states. We spent time having surgery, staying up all night at the emergency room, going to the zoo, going to the art museum and the Farmer's Market, eating at all kinds of restaurants, going to the park, and visiting family. It was eventually a good time of rest for us and the extra two months that we were give to stay were really needed. So. . . our blog is back online. I'll begin to update it again.

We are just getting over jet lag and being here is still a little weird. That feeling of home and familiarity comes over time. We'll let you know when we get there. We were experiencing spring in Dallas and now we're back to the end of winter and not yet spring. Ethan had a fever a couple of days ago and it was 103.7 this morning so I've been spending a lot of time inside so far. Supposedly next week it's supposed to be sunny. Our heat for our apartment is only coming on in the evening so the days are pretty cold. Good things. . .we got to go see Chad and Holly May the 3rd day we were here and it was a good time reconnecting and drinking tea.

Web cam

I just have to say this. . .It's amazing to me that my 15 month old son likes to come and sit in my lap when I'm on the computer. He starts waving at the screen and saying hi like there's someone there even if the webcam is not on. It's so cute. How quickly they learn!

Dunloe is walking and some new words

Dunloe's favorite places in the house right now are the bathroom and the kitchen. In the bathroom he likes opening the cabinet, getting out Ethan's toothbrush and chewing on it while also eating toothpaste from the tube.

He also likes pulling things out of the kitchen trash can and eating them, which he frequently gets spankings for! He loves to read books especially ones with dogs because he can make a "woof woof" sound. He also loves fish and gets excited wherever he can find them.

He has learned two signs. One for "all done," and one for "more," which he somehow got mixed up and uses for the word "eat." Oh well. I get the point. Food, mommy, food!
